- What's special about my approach:
- I contour the brow into an aesthetic position. For example, the outer eyebrow should be a little higher than the inner eyebrow.
- The brows should be raised slightly. Eyebrows that are too high are not youthful. Look at models in fashion magazines. Their eyebrows are not high, particularly the part of the eyebrow near the nose.
- This same point is even more true in men. High eyebrows can make a man look less masculine.
- The endoscopic browlift leaves no visible scars.
- For people who are not ready for surgery: BOTOX® injections produce a very pleasing subtle shaping and raising of the eyebrows and correct the frown lies and crow's fee.
- In women with a very high forehead, I perform a different operation, which actually lowers the hairline. A high hairline is not youthful.
- My highest priority is to leave the patient looking fresher without any pulled, tight, windswept, or artificial look. The spirit and the expression of the face must remain intact. The result must be natural.
The Procedure:
- Over the last several years, the endoscopic minimal scar brow lift has revolutionized the treatment of the upper face. The frown lines are corrected and the brows are elevated to an attractive position. Some patients are afraid that they will look startled, but this just doesn't happen with proper patient selection and good technique.
- Working through several, very small incisions in the scalp, the skin of the forehead is carefully lifted so that the underlying tissue can be elevated and the muscles of the forehead can be altered or released. Modifying these muscles corrects the frown lines.
