Manhattan Breast Asymmetry Doctor

Women who have asymmetry of the breasts with one breast very different from the other may choose to undergo cosmetic breast surgery. George Beraka, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a Manhattan breast asymmetry doctor who is able to correct a woman's disproportionate breasts using various techniques. He has treated numerous women with asymmetric breasts, helping them achieve much better shape, size, and symmetry.

Specializing in cosmetic breast surgery, Dr. Beraka attracts patients throughout New York City, Greenwich NY and Manhattan areas. Dr. Beraka is widely known as an expert on breast asymmetry because he has written chapters on breast asymmetry and lectured on this topic. He treats many women who have very different breasts and he offers a good eye, gentle surgery, and meticulous attention to detail. He does not stop until your breasts are as even and attractive as they can possibly be.

Breast Asymmetry Correction

A combination of breast augmentation surgery ("augmentation mammaplasty"), breast lift surgery ("mastopexy"), and/or breast reduction ("reduction mammaplasty") may be needed during breast asymmetry surgery. In some cases, a woman may have one breast that is smaller and flatter while the other breast is larger and sagging. For this problem, Dr. Beraka may need to insert an implant in the smaller breast and perform a breast lift and reduction on the other breast.

If both breasts are small but different, Dr. Beraka will perform breast augmentation surgery on both breasts for asymmetry correction; he will do so by using different-sized implants for each breast. Manhattan breast augmentation surgeon Dr. Beraka can go over your options in further detail during an initial consultation.

Pursuing excellence in cosmetic surgery, Dr. Beraka is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). He received his cosmetic surgery training from Columbia University, Johns Hopkins Hospital, and Weill Cornell Medical Center. In addition, he trains fellows and residents in cosmetic surgery.
